ब्रह्म कमल or Brahma Kamal is rare divine celestial flower native to the high altitudes of Himalayas in Uttarakhand of Bharat.
ब्रह्म कमल or Brahma Kamal in celestial realm emerges from the navel of Lord Vishnu. On this divine flower Lord Brahma sits and creates. It was given to Lord Shiva to bring Lord Ganesha back to his life. By the elixir of the ब्रह्म कमल or Brahma Kamal, he placed elephant's head on Ganesha's body.
Then the seeds of the flower fall on the land around Himalayas from mountain Kailasa (Shiva's abode) and it started growing thereafter on Himalayas.
The flowers blooms once in a year between July to August and only for one night. Anyone who sees it blooming, gets his wish fulfilled.
It has many rare medicinal properties and a person who has a knowledge of mysterious traditional Ayurveda (ancient Vedic medicine system) can use it to prepare Elixir.
