भारत माता की अनमोल पेंटिंग


भारत माता की यह अनमोल पेंटिंग पहली बार 1870 में ऋषि बंकिम चंद्र द्वारा चित्रित की गई थी। बाद में अवनीन्द्रनाथ टैगोर ने 1905 में बंगाल विभाजन के दौरान इस पेंटिंग को फिर से चित्रित किया और प्रसिद्ध बना दिया।

क्रांतिकारियों के मन में माँ भारती की जीवंत छवि के रूप में यह पेंटिंग थी।

ब्रह्म कमल-Brahma Kamal - the celestial flower which was used to prepare Elixir

ब्रह्म कमल or Brahma Kamal is rare divine celestial flower native to the high altitudes of Himalayas in Uttarakhand of Bharat. ब्रह्म कमल or Brahma Kamal in celestial realm emerges from the navel of Lord Vishnu. On this divine flower Lord Brahma sits and creates. It was given to Lord Shiva to bring Lord Ganesha back to his life. By the elixir of the  ब्रह्म कमल or Brahma Kamal, he placed elephant's head on Ganesha's body. Kumbhalgarh Fort Wall - The Great Wall of India

The grand wall of Kumbhalgarh fort which covers the boundary of the entire fortress is considered to be the longest wall in the world right after 'The Great Wall of China'. It is famous as 'The Great Wall of India'. The wall stretches over a distance of 36 km. It is 15 m wide which is wide enough for eight horses to walk abreast. The Hope Diamond - largest natural Blue Diamond in the world

The Hope diamond is known to be the largest blue diamond in the world. It weighs 45.52 carats (9.104 g; 0.3211 oz). It was removed  from a sculpted statue of a Goddes from an ancient temple of Bharat by some foreigner.The stolen diamond from Bharat was taken to France. Finally, King Louis XIV of France bought it from a French traveller in 1668, before re-cutting it and surrounding it with other diamonds.     It was stolen in 1792 and re-cut with the largest section of the diamond appearing under the name 'The Hope' in an 1839 gem catalogue from the Hope banking family. The diamond then went through many owners.Then, in 1949 New York gems merchant Harry Winston purchased it. After owning for 9 years he donated it in 1958 to the Smithsonian Museum in the United States, for exhibition,where one can see it at present.

रोमन वोमिटोरियम (Vomitorium)

रोमन सभ्यता में विलासिता को प्रदर्शित करने के लिए रोमन लोग दावत का आयोजन करते थे, जहाँ अपनी कुलीन स्थिति को साबित करने के लिए वे इतना अधिक खाते थे कि अपना पेट खाली करने के लिए उन्हें बीच-बीच में उल्टी करने के लिए ब्रेक लेना पड़ता था, ताकि फिर से अधिक भोजन खा सकें। उल्टी के लिए कमरा विशेष रूप से बनाया जाता था और इसे वोमिटोरियम (Vomitorium) कहा जाता था।

किष्किंधा (Kiskindha)

आज के  'गोलकुंडा' (हैदराबाद, तेलंगाना) को प्राचीन काल में 'किष्किंधा' कहा जाता था, जो रामायण में प्रसिद्ध रूप से वर्णित एक राज्य था जहां पहले वानर राजा बाली और फिर सुग्रीव ने शासन किया था।
